Thank You Parodi Charitable Trust for Supporting Our Community Quilt Project

Our elementary school community quilt project has taken an exciting step forward thanks to the generous support from Parodi Charitable Trust. They provided the batting, backing fabric, and crochet packets needed to bring this creative effort to life. This support means a lot to our students and teachers as we work together to create something meaningful and lasting.

How the Project Began

The idea behind the community quilt project was to engage students in a hands-on activity that promotes creativity, teamwork, and a sense of contribution. Each student is crafting their own quilt block, which will later be sewn together to form a larger quilt. This quilt will be raffled off as a fundraiser to support school programs and activities.

The materials donated by Parodi Charitable Trust have made it possible to move beyond planning and into actual creation. Receiving quality batting and backing fabric ensures the final quilt will be durable and beautiful. The crochet packets add an extra layer of skill-building and fun for the students.

What the Students Are Creating

Students are working on individual economy quilt blocks. These blocks are designed to be simple enough for young hands but creative enough to express each child’s personality. The process involves:

  • Selecting fabric pieces

  • Arranging patterns

  • Sewing or gluing pieces together

  • Adding crochet details

This step-by-step approach teaches patience and precision while allowing room for imagination. The students are proud to see their work come together, knowing each block contributes to a larger community effort.

A Heartfelt Thank You

We want to express our sincere gratitude to Parodi Charitable Trust for their support. Their generosity has made this project possible and has inspired our students to work hard and dream big. The photos of students working on their quilt blocks capture the joy and focus that this project brings to our school community.
