 Parodi Charitable Trust Scholarships Available for CSD Students 

 

The Donald N. Parodi Memorial Charitable Trust (PCT) is delighted to announce that scholarships are currently available for CSD high school students. Qualified students can apply for a scholarship for a variety of school-related endeavors such as an International Studies trip, Youth Leadership Camp, or cooking competition.

To be considered for a PCT scholarship, each applicant must meet the following criteria:

1. Is a high school student.

2. Has a good academic standing of 3.0 GPA or better.

3. Demonstrates outstanding character with leadership potential or qualities.

Each applicant must also complete and submit to the Superintendent a PCT packet (cover letter, essay and letters of recommendation).  If a resume is readily available, include it in the packet.

Cover Letter

In your cover letter you will make your scholarship request (i.e. how much you are applying for and for what school-related endeavor).  Elaborate a bit on that.  

Essay 

Compose a one-page essay, single spaced and using 12-point font without assistance from anyone.  Your essay must respond to the following:

• Describe your leadership experience and contributions to your school and/or community.

• How will the PCT scholarship help you?

• What do you hope to do for the school and/or Deaf community in the near future?

Letters of Recommendation

Provide two (2) letters of recommendations from any of the following:

1. School Administrator

2. Teacher/Counselor/Cottage counselor

3. Deaf Community Leader 

Scholarship Deadline 

Your PCT packet must be submitted to the Superintendent’s office at least a month before you need the financial support.  You will be informed as soon as the Parodi board makes a decision.
